Tigereye is a member of the quartz family and comes in golden, black, red, and yellow/blue. It has a cats-eye effect and has a beautiful silky luster and sheen. The most important source is from South Africa. Some is also found in Australia and the USA.

This set is made with oval golden Tigereye beads and Czech Fire-Polished Crystals with Gold-plated accents.

Because the Tiger and Lion are both from the cat family, Tigereye reminds us of the many references to Lions in the Bible. There are well over a hundred! It also makes us think of Africa and the horrific persecution of Christians there.
